This Privacy Policy describes how Parlana (“Parlana”, “we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use the Parlana mobile app (the “App”). By using the App you accept the practices described in this document.

1. Information we collect

1.1 Information you provide to us

  • Account data: email address and login credentials when you register or sign in.
  • Profile preferences: niche, goal, and content tone configured during onboarding.
  • Generated content: ideas, scripts, and text you write, generate, or refine inside the App.

1.2 Information generated by your use

  • Usage data: actions within the App (scripts generated, teleprompter use, recordings started and completed) used to improve the product.
  • Usage and subscription counters: your plan status (free or premium) and associated usage limits.
  • Technical data: device model, operating system, App identifiers, and crash reports.

1.3 Camera and microphone

The App requests access to the front camera and microphone solely for the teleprompter and video recording feature. The videos you record are stored locally on your device and are not uploaded to our servers unless you choose to export or share them.

2. How we use information

  • Provide and operate the App’s features (ideas, scripts, teleprompter, history).
  • Generate and refine scripts using artificial intelligence.
  • Manage your account, subscription, and usage limits.
  • Improve the App, diagnose issues, and develop new features.
  • Comply with legal obligations.

3. Artificial intelligence and third parties

The App uses third-party services to operate:

  • xAI (Grok API): the text you send to generate or refine scripts may be processed through the xAI API. We do not use your content to train third-party models.
  • Google (Gemini API): the text you send to generate or refine scripts may be processed through the Google Gemini API. We do not use your content to train third-party models.
  • RevenueCat: manages subscriptions and in-app purchases.
  • Authentication and backend provider: stores your account data and preferences.
  • App stores (App Store / Google Play): process subscription payments.

Each provider handles your data in accordance with its own privacy policy.

4. Storage and retention

  • Recorded videos are stored locally on your device, under your control.
  • Account data, preferences, and scripts are kept while your account is active.
  • You can request deletion of your account and associated data by writing to us (see Section 8).

5. Data sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share information only with the providers described in Section 3, to the extent necessary to operate the App, or when required by law.

6. Security

We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. No system is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Children’s privacy

The App is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age applicable in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect data from children.

8. Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your data, as well as to object to certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at:
